Yes only on locking. I don't need to unlock as I don't lock it. It may lock automatically (?). Only on locking. I tend not to need to unlock as as long as I have the key it seems to be automatic when I approach.

Thanks I didn't know that. But yes all openings lock so not likely to be a mislocking alert (God help us). It is THE most annoying thing. I never hear this sound in large parking lots or anywhere else, except for me. Why me!! I leave it unlocked at home (don't tell)

I don't want to hear that beep nor to see the flashing light just to lock the b....y doors! (Female luddite and out of depth which is shallow). Surely there must be a one keystroke solution!
