Small update. You were right from the beginning - I should've bought another alternator ;) I changed the bearings and then realized that the rotor is touching the stator as it rotates... I did the diode test with the alternator off and they seem to be fine - above 500 in one direction (multimeter's black wire touching alternator's B+ and multimeter's red wire touching alternator's body) and no value in the other direction (wires swapped).
