Engine won't start immediately but needs cranking
Mine turned out to be in the fuel filter head. Someone had installed the non-return valve and the air bleed valve in the wrong places. Fixed that, cleaned everything, changed filter. Seems to be fine. Will see how it starts tomorrow morning, but after everything reconnected, primed system and... -

@andrewfisher Did you get to the bottom of this? My 04 Disco II TD5 just started doing something v similar. Will drive 5-6 miles, then if under load (hill) dies. Purging air (5 throttle presses) then extended cranking it'll go again. Have checked current draw for fuel pump - seems OK (22.5mV...
