Newbie looking for his first range rover

QED Every brand has its 'Friday' buses. However, Range Rover, it would appear, are only built on Fridays. Friday the thirteenth at that! Beautiful but cursed. A bit like me!:)

Newbie looking for his first range rover

I rest my case Newbie, even the fella who says I'm a weirdo mentions "teething problems" Believe me, you will regret buying a Rangie unless you adore spending herds of cash, or enjoy problem solving exercises under the bonnet on the hard shoulder.

Newbie looking for his first range rover

If you've got £14K to spend, please do your home work. Please please. £14k is a lot of money and I want you to enjoy the vehicle you buy. Don't go anywhere near Range Rover!!! I know, Rangies look FANTASTIC! They do, they really do! They are ultra comfy too but they need to be.....whilst...

Newbie looking for his first range rover

DON'T.....Unless you have no use for it, other than as a piece of sculpture. I promise you endless trouble. You will regret it. Please, please, please, don't buy it! I had a P38 DSE, beautiful but getting from A to B was like betting on the Epsom Derby. Don't buy a Range Rover, don't...

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

Guys, Guys, Guys! There are certain genetic mutations which impair 'judgement'. Anyone who 'knowingly' buys a Range Rover has obviously inherited that gene. I work with people with 'troubles' and they would, to a man, buy a Range Rover. Come on, go with evolution and see that p38s are...

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

I handed it back to the dealer Dr W. ' Not of merchantable quality' Great shame. I really loved the Rangey but it was just useless and I mean useless!

Tell Me I haven't made a dreadful Mistake!!

Alas, tis gone! The P38 let me down, literally, four times in ten weeks. I needed something 'good' for work and the Rangey was too unreliable. Fortunately for me, the garage hadn't sold my old V70XC and I've got her back...Bliss. The only trouble is, I loved the Rover. The Volvo is, by a...

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

Oh happy man am I! The Rangie is gone, gone into the painful history of experience. I've had a Rangie and loved it, but! The so and so bit me hard and so I killed it, DEAD! The swine should never have been born and now I am the happy owner, once more, of a reliable, fast, capable...

Well lads, that's it. I've read this lot and like the good doctor used to need a reliable wagon, I still do. To all you fellas with time on your hands, money in the bank and dirt under your nails, enjoy your toys. I'm getting rid of the p38. Hello Volvo, I'm back. I've learned from my...

    Oh Dear!

    EAS fault!

Hi fellas, You seem to know a lot about the RR EAS system, I've had mine impounded to have the EAS fixed as I had the Christmas tree experience and it sank to the floor. How do you recalibrate the EAS? Go easy on me, I have hooves when it comes to spanners and all things tool like!

Tell Me I haven't made a dreadful Mistake!!

It would appear then, that the transition twixt Volvos and RRs is not uncommon; which is pleasing to know. At least no one is saying "Fool! You should have stuck to the Scandic tank." Thanks Donald and Mayday

Tell Me I haven't made a dreadful Mistake!!

Hi chumblies, I've just acquired my first ever Range Rover. A year 2000 DSE. I sold my old Volvo V70 XC (1998) as we fancied going for a full bore 4x4! So, we thought we'd go for "The Best." I've only had it a fortnight and already had a nasty EAS experience on the M2. (Big Green is in car...
