TD6 2003 L322 Rangerover Sound system making a brrp, brrp, brrp when car is locked/before entering key

Ours use to do similar then the amp in back left quarter died. Changed it and all was well for a couple of years. Occasionally we get some noises still but just live with it. You could unplug the amp plug and check for green corrosion and give the plug a clean. Be carful as the amp has some very...

P38 DSE Auto intermittent lack of power after vehicle has been hot

I’ll reply my own thread incase it helps anyone, intermittent problem that gradually got worse. Car passed the Mot recently with no advisory’s yippee I thought. I decided to pick my son up from school and on the way home getting stuck in traffic approaching an extremely busy roundabout where...

P38 DSE Auto intermittent lack of power after vehicle has been hot

Thanks I’ll recheck all of that, fan cowl has been previously removed, car generally sits at halfway on guage unless idling for a long time or doing lots of low speed work or I have foot down for a while up very long hills Mile or so in length. Don’t like the sound of the cracked head problem...

P38 DSE Auto intermittent lack of power after vehicle has been hot

Thanks Datatek, when I purchased the thermocouple for the fan mod I purchased one off eBay which wasn’t the best quality as it has a wide range of on off so if I set it maybe a bit to high to stop fans being on for to long. I’ll try cranking it down a bit (fans on more) and see if that helps...

P38 DSE Auto intermittent lack of power after vehicle has been hot

Hi All again, Recently the P38 has intermittently losing power when it has got hot(up near the red) I have done datateks fan mod so have no viscous fitted. Another P38 2.5DSE 4th injector Question

Bit of a delay in update, life got in the way and is only a spare car/toy! Fitted brand new brown plug injector and all is well no diesel leaks at last! EML light has also gone out so I guess I was just unlucky with my new white injector. Just got to send it back and hopefully get my money back...

    P38A Insurance prices getting silly

Yeh footman James came out good, if it was much more I couldn’t justify the cost as a spare vehicle. Strangely the quote was less if parked on drive at home instead of on a farm lockup in a secure building! I’m waiting for the l322 renewal to see how much that’s been jacked up. Anyone had any...

    Another P38 2.5DSE 4th injector Question

Thanks all you for your responses, I’ll definitely be looking at the gates spill pipe. Unfortunately price of the injectors is now over £200 minimum. I think they are running stock down so the less of them there is the more they charge I guess. Probably anyone with a DSE in the future will face...

    Another P38 2.5DSE 4th injector Question

Hi thanks for all the replies, Thanks Keith, I did wonder that, the 2 side guides on plug were left unchanged, then there’s a top/ or bottom plug guide depending on how you want to call it The brown plug the guide is to the right, the white plug is to the middle. I just sliced the middle guide...
