I’ve been looking at terrafirma spring kits and the do a 1” lift kit but that would only take me to standard ride height that is 470mm. The speedo is out by 5% at 265/75 and 1.4% at 245/75 so not that bad really.

so the only reason it being illegal is the speedo? that could be overcome by using my digital gps speedo fixed to the dash? i have seen plenty of D1s and D2s driving round the gloucester area with oversized off road tyres. the difference between whats on there now and what i want is as follows...

So not just a D1 300tdi owner any more. Will be picking up a P38 4.6 hse on Saturday aswell. Seems to be in good condition drives well no known problems and has been converted to springs. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not?

Hi guys does anyone know what could possible be the fault or if anyone has a thermostat for a 300tdi as I have some how broke the plastic lug on the top of mine and it is now firing out steam faster than a Turkish baths. I have the AA on the way but any input would be much appreciated Thanks...

Thanks. I did look at a D3 but couldn’t shake the need for a D1 300tdi. The added bonus is I got a manual this time not the auto.
