Dont be put off the range rover p38, They are a great car if you buy well. Spend £2000 on a diesel and put the rest into servicing and suspension repairs. Buy the dt its less complicated and a good work horse. Ive off roaded mine and was amazed at its capabilitys , Every bit as good as a disco.

Spend all your money on the drive train, i had lots of theses and they are great if maintained correctly . Petrol or diesel no big deal just keep up with the maintenance.
