    2 Amigos [Solved]

Thanks for advice, removal was easier than I anticipated! I took the switch to pieces and the points carrier on the central moulded plastic was out of alignment due to plastic melting. I will order a modified switch and loom from Island 4 x 4, fit and report back. Is it easier when refitting to...

Front lower wishbone: 2006 FL 1

Dry day so had another go at loosening bolts and they are all moving😅 I must admit I was a little sceptical about the power of penetrating oil! Fingers crossed that when the wishbone is lowered from front bush, I can hammer out the shaft from the rear bush without taking off the complete...

Front lower wishbone: 2006 FL 1

Had a good go on Wednesday but advice needed on removing the front bolt. Will plenty of heat be the answer where it screws into the sub frame. Would using a cutting disc on an angle grinder to cut into the rubber bush help or even burn the rubber bush!! None of the YouTube vids I've seen answer...

Front lower wishbone: 2006 FL 1

MOT now due and near side lower wishbone has rust holes. I've searched this forum and YouTube and it looks a fairly straight forward job BUT the front bush area looks corroded. I would really appreciate advice about removing the front bolt if it proves to be rusted up because I don't want to...

Freelander 1 Epic fail (or not?)

Thanks all for your replies. I am at a stage(age?) where working outside on a cold wet day is not great so I took the Freelander to a local one-man band. Not collected yet. I don't think there will be a "happy ending"!

    Tail-gate window electrical contact

Whilst putting new runners on the tail one of the window heating contacts came unstuck from the window, see left-hand contact on photo. Question: is there an electrical contacting glue I could use to stick contact to glass or any other work around? Thanks

    Tail gate window cables, again!

    Tail gate window cables, again!

I installed the new regulator from LR Trade Parts, relatively straight forward job BUT rear window does not go under the top plastic moulding when tailgate is shut, see photo. I have adjusted the bolts arrowed on photo to push the runners further back to alter the angle of the window but still...

    Tail gate window cables, again!

Cables have broken on the tail-gate window on my 2006 FL 1 I've searched the forum, looked at the Youtube videos and the job looks doable :) Question, which is the best value regulator kit to buy? LR trade parts sell one for £37.95 on Ebay but you can get cheaper and more expensive. Is there...
