Disco 2 Could a slipping clutch cause driver demand faults?

Well, the ECU is completely oil free and the battery is at 13 volts with engine off so I guess I need to get a new pedal or rewire the existing one just not sure which to try first. Rewiring is likely cheaper but will also probably take longer.

Disco 2 Could a slipping clutch cause driver demand faults?

Yeah, I realise the values are completely wrong, I know my engine isn't doing 4200 RPM, I just meant that I'm not too annoyed at the tool it served its original purpose for me to sort out my ABS issues.

Disco 2 Could a slipping clutch cause driver demand faults?

I'm not, it helped me find my ABS issues which are now fixed.

Disco 2 Could a slipping clutch cause driver demand faults?

Yes, I'm getting driver demand code and road speed missing. I don't have much more info than that from the diagnostics, the supposedly live feed of data tells me the revs are 4,250 when the engine is idling quietly and the driver demand voltages don't change as I press the pedal. I've only ever...

Disco 2 Could a slipping clutch cause driver demand faults?

Near the end of 2016 (18 months ago) I had issues with the engine management light coming on and the car not responding to the throttle, just idling, some people have referred to this as limp mode. Turning the engine off and on would clear the light and I could carry on. I tried swapping the...

Fault 3141 Driver Demand has been faulty

I had the same driver demand error about a year ago. It stopped being an issue after I replaced the battery and that seemed to solve the issue until this weekend. Looks like I might have to follow your instructions to sort it out for good though so thanks for that.

    Any help guys

There's a few posts on here and around the web about cleaning MAF sensors, most seem to suggest giving it a good spray with WD40 electrical contact cleaner (https://www.wd40specialist.com/products/contact-cleaner) which they sell in Halfords, or a specific MAF sensor cleaner product. You can...

What colour is the smoke? Could it being burning oil? Not sure why being warm would stop it burning oil though.

    Disco 2 Removing side steps

I've got a pretty big breaker bar so hopefully that'll do it, I should probably start getting some penetrating oil on there. I would like to get some rock/tree sliders. I've not looked into the options in any great detail, as I won't be replacing them immediately. Which sliders do you have?

    Disco 2 Removing side steps

:D I'll bear that in mind. I was thinking more like anything I'm likely to damage or is there something that needs to be put in their place for some reason?

    Newbie, go easy on me

Nice looking car there. Regarding removing the head light guards I think you're best off leaving them on. They bolt through the bodywork into nuts (possibly rivnuts) which are inside the bodywork. Removing them would leave the holes in your bodywork exposed. The head light guards are a little...

    Disco 2 Removing side steps

My 2001 Disco has Land Rover "Oasis" side steps. On a narrow lane I've managed to buckle the driver's side one. I might be able to repair it, but I'm thinking I'll just remove them and leave them off. Is there anything I need to be aware of before I unbolt them? Steve

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Well done! My relay has an audible click which I had taken to be a good sign. I will get the multi meter out to do some other checks but it sounds very much like this could work for me. Thanks for sharing.

    Roman Road - Balsham

Were you working on what Trailwise calls TL5649-01? I notice at the eastern end there is a locked galvanised gate and a skip across the byway. It looks like there were some signs explaining what was going on but they've either blown away or someone has vandalised them.

Disco 2 Heated rear window and mirrors....help!

Watching with interest as my symptoms sound identical to yours @Haystacks. I had all interior trim off the back door looking for damage to the wiring as previously had understood this was the most common fault. It's a shame they hid the relay away in an inaccessible place.

    Disco 2 rear step replacement

Mine is a similar state and I'm currently trying to figure out what I can do to sort it out. Did you reuse the plastic step? If so how did you remove it without breaking it? I was hoping to reuse the plastic but the cylinders that go through the upper sheet of metal seem to be stuck. My other...

    1st time green laning

So the article was in Oct 2016 4x4 magazine (4x4i.com) There Libby is quoted saying "with the production of the defender coming to an end, we needed an equally capable 4x4, so the Jeep was the best" and Russ "The only other option was the Toyota Land Cruiser but I don't really like it".
