    Three faulty injectors?

In the past 18 months my 2003 TD4 has gone through three fuel injectors, and I have just noticed that it is once again displaying those all-too familiar symptoms of difficult starting, juddering at tickover, white smoke etc which leads me to believe that injector number 4 is also on its way out...

    It won't start!

Just as an update and by way of thanks... It turns out that the problem was number 3 injector had failed exactly as you suggested. Luckily the local independant Landrover specialist (Simon Huntington in Wigton) had one in stock. The good news is that while I was at work yesterday he called...

    It won't start!

I tried both my main key and also the spare this afternoon just in case the problem was batteries. Neither would start it.

    It won't start!

Just tried sitting in it with the ignition on and I can hear the pump whirring away fine. I'll give it a go with some easy start tomorrow and see how I get on! Thanks

    It won't start!

All good suggestions, thanks guys. But one thing confuses me. Would any of these things cause the car to fail between me parking it up last night and getting in it again this morning? It was running fine yesterday and if the problem was a dicky sensor or fuel pump or something would it not have...

    It won't start!

That makes sense then. The only thing that I did differently was I forgot to lock it last night. Would that have triggered the imobiliser? If so, how do I turn it off? I have tried locking it and unlocking it using the r/c key fob and starting it using both my sets of keys. Is there something...

    It won't start!

Well, this is a conundrum! I have owned my 03 Td4 for about three years and it has never missed a beat, starting first turn of the key everytime. Yesterday I drove it about 30 miles stopping and starting on a couple of occasions, no bother. On returning home I parked up outside my house as usual...

How Do I remove Radio - Freelander 2

There are four little holes, one on each corner of the face plate. Behind each of these is a spring clip which holds the unit in place. I am certain that there is a specific tool for depressing these all at the same time, but I have just done it very successfully using four cocktail sticks. Just...

    TD4 Sluggish in the wet

As an update, the car got slower and slower today (we've had quite a bit of rain here in West Cumbria) However I noticed that I was also very low on fuel. I pulled in to fill up and with a full tank things very quickly seemed to improve. Could it be that I am somehow getting water into my fuel...

    TD4 Sluggish in the wet

Here's a wierd one... On a number of seperate occasions last winter my 03 TD4 Freelander became very slow and sluggish after driving through a few floods on the way too and from work - nothing excessive, I would have thought that the deepest water it went through would be no more than about...
