With the one I have (pictured), the threads are attached to the plate. So you just remove existing plastic cover, pop this into the existing holes and washer/bolt it from inside the wing. It can’t be undone from outside

Thank you @raywin I definitely do not have that, so will check the cable is there and give the switch an eBay search :) Ta muchly. (now if there is a cable in there, i'm thinking I might run additional switches to the rear of the headlights...)
