i had a look, they seem ok , but when i have the xfer box in neutral and put the gearbox in 5th that's the you can hear it, the props aren't spinning at this point.

My td5 has just started making a noise In 5th gear , it’s there a bit in all the gears but not as loud as 5th , if I put the transfer box on neutral I can still hear it , it sounds like a rumble underneath the car , it’s also there a bit when coasting I’m neutral ! Any ideas ?

My td5 discovery2 won't start, the battery is charged but it won't go to turn over, nanocom isn't coming up with any codes. I've checked my ecu and it has oil in it, I've given it a good clean , is this a likely culprit?

I've noticed a clunk when I sharp turn usually parking , it's on one side then the next clunk is on the other side and vice versa ! Anyone got any idea what to look at ?

checked again , is the ace pulley supposed to be stiff to turn?

Yes they all seem ok , but belt off and the noise is gone

Thanks I had another look , but I can't work out which one it is , I've got ace and ac . I could do with a shorter belt to miss a pulley out each time .

ok with the belt and the fan off theres no noise , but with the new belt back on the noise is back, does that mean a bearing on one of the pulleys has gone? i couldn't feel anything on them. it can't be the crank as that would have been moving with the belt off anyway.

thanks I've checked that , i think your half right as its constantly running , but i took the belt of and it went away so i think its a stretched belt.
