For anyone that might be interested, it was the slave cylinder that was sucking in air. New cylinder fitted and working good as new. I've been advised to change the master cylinder as well though so thats the next task.

Ok the reservoir is full so now I'm stumped? clutch master cylinder perhaps?

Thanks for the feedback. Didn't realise that the breaks and clutch shared the same reservoir. I'll get it topped up to get home then can play hunt the leak.
