I was actually trying to sell it for the wife of a friend of mine, he died and she didn't know what to do with it, after a while she decided that she wanted to hang on to it. She wanted to have it restored but I'm not sure if that will ever happen.

Sorry As you can see its a nice looker, galvanized chassis rebuilt engine and discovery transfer box box ( threads on here) owining it for 8 years has cost me about 1K But diddnt want to advertise too much, worries me that some people go looking arround to locate the good ones, Not to buy them

Haven't done a rear one, but I did the front last year. I bought the whole assembly, the bearing can be changed but you must be careful as the vehicle uses the bearing to sense the wheel rotation, and if you get it wrong then there are problems with traction control.

That was also a factor in my decision, I owned it for 8 years and did lots of work on it, but I was using it less and less so I decided that it might be time to move on.

Oh dear, I've only gone and sold it! After 8 years and loads of work I've sold my TD5 90. Time for a big clearance of bits tools etc.

If it only happens with the engine loaded then it could be the turbo. My exhaust manifold started to blow slightly but that produced a squeal, and it was worse when the engine was pulling.

When you re fit the injector take care to clean the injector and the seat very thoroughly, I always stick the washer onto the injector with a little bit of grease so it wont fall off and get damaged.

The TD5 injectors just sit on a copper washer and come free with a small amount of force. BUT they are inside the rocker cover, if you turn it over with the cover off then it will spray oil all over the place ( Ask how I know), and I would worry about the clamps if it actualy fired

I would recommend that you don't try that in the TD5

I've taken mine out several times just using a long allen key as a lever.

Done mine in the 90, both back and front ones with a small flat multi LED panel. The connection was realy easy, as it has a dummy bulb which just fits in the original holder (they are polarity sensitive) They are much brighter. Edit Like this one...

I rang one of the national tyre fitters and asked for any tyres 215 /75 16r and he said he could not fit van tyres to my vehicle, I didn't bother to explain.

I drive it pretty conservatively so I don't need racing tyres, I was looking at Avon, or Goodyear. The 16" ones were continental they didn't seem to last well, but it's impossible to find an alternative make in that size without using van tyres.
