    I had this problem in my earlier thread, I used 10/40 semi but ever since using it I have also developed a tappety noise, will be replacing over the weekend with mineral and will let you know how i get on.

    Recently serviced my new purchase using 10-40 semi synthetic however since the service I have noticed a sligjt "tappetty" rattle when cold, this disappears when the engine is warm, should I be using a thinner oil? Whats everyone else using?

    Just had the system regassed and discovered a major leak! No dye required as you could actually hear it, so after a quick strip down of the front end discovered a hole in the top of the air con rad, after a phone round eventually found new one for sensible money (£98+VAT) but have spent all day...
