    Landy Breakers in Central Scotland

I've recently dipped into the world of Series ownership again, to say i need a few parts is a bit of an understatement. However, i was wondering if anyone knew of any breakers or the like in the central Scotland area. Managed to get a few things off Ebay but some items are listed as pick up only...

    Range Rover Classic Radio Wiring

You're lucky if that's all that's wrong with your wiring. I've had some muppet set about mine with scotch locks everywhere and at one point there's even been an electrical fire in behind the radio! Cut out miles of cable so far, some of it with at minimum 4 scotch locks on each 6 inch piece.

    Hello from sunny scotland

I know with the landies i've owned, if i did'nt laugh, i'd cry when it came to things going wrong and finding bodges done by previous owners! Good fun though, until it breaks in winter!

I'm in Kilmarnock, which is no much better! If you're ever round this way, gimme a shout, and i'll get the tea on.

    Hello from sunny scotland

Welcome to the nuthouse :welcome2:. Where abouts in Ayrshire you from? Can't slag you about owning a Hippo though, my Classic is currently sitting at the front door refusing to start. Safe bet though the extensive collection of scotch clips under the dash are the problem

    Scotland offroad venues

The Scottish Off Road Club usually have events at Drumclog and Lamancha, if that's any help to you. Only been to Drumclog myself the once though and had a pretty fun weekend.

    Bloody Range Rover

Got it working. Stepped away from it a bit and went through everything and found one of the new leads was at fault, so I stuck on one of the old leads that was still in not bad condition and it seemed to work.

    Bloody Range Rover

I was sure I had flooded mine as well since there was that lovely smell of unleaded lingering in the air. Took out the plugs one at a time to check if it was indeed flooded but they were bone dry. Call me daft, but I would take this too mean there's no fuel getting through, but when I turn the...

    Any extra help guys

Thanks for all the information guys. I've checked the rotor arm for an excess play, but it's nothing drastic, just a fraction of movement. I'm sure it's just gonna be something totally stupid and obvious and I'm just getting to rattled to notice.

    Any extra help guys

Having some problems with my 3.9 efi. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/bloody-range-rover-85684.html Anyone who uses this part of the forum have any ideas? I'm at a loss and have major Land Rover headache. Also, if there's anyone nearby Kilmarnock (Ayrshire) feeling super generous with...

    Bloody Range Rover

I put the old rotor arm and dizzy cap back on along with the old plugs and still the same thing. From clockwise I have the firing order at 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 on the cap. Just to clarify though, on the cylinder banks looking into the engine bay from the front, it's odd numbers on the passenger...

    Bloody Range Rover

It was running alright. I knew the dizzy cap was on it's last legs and maybe a couple of times in the morning it would take a couple of attempts to get it started. Other than that nothing drastic.

Was told about lining the rotor arm up with the TDC (sure that's what it's called) at the crank. I can see the little metal lip at the crank, but I can't see any timing marks on the actual pulley itself. From there I was told that if the rotor arm was pointing towards me and lined up with the...

    Bloody Range Rover

I know this topic will have been done to death, but any help would be great. The rotor arm, dizzy cap, spark plugs and HT leads were all replaced last Thursday. Prior to this, the car was running alright, but the dizzy cap was on it's last legs so I thought I'd treat the big beastie and get a...

    Range Rover wont start. Imobiliser???

I had the same sort of hassle a few months ago. There's a leak coming in from somewhere at the bottom of the windscreen which apparently had been happening before I got the motor. Anyway, after a particularly heavy rain storm (is there ever any other kind in Scotland) I came out to start the car...

Sorry about the delay. I was switching over to a new ISP which took a helluva lot longer than it was supposed to. Anyway, if you still want some pics of the heater let me know and I'll get some done.

    Rangie not starting

Where abouts are you and how much would you be looking for em? I'm in the West of Scotland and since the damn motor won't start I'm stuck with no transport. S'pose a courier is always an option.
