Well after extensive investigation plus about 100 phone calls to nrgserv, diagnostics is complete. I worked out it was cylinder 4 from the good old fashioned manifold test (run engine for a min and feel each exhaust manifold, 1,2 and 3 were hot to the touch, 4 however was barely warm), i knew...

Hi guys. When drivin my car last night, my engine decided to make a god awful knock, it's now underpowered. If it were a petrol I would be checking for spark etc.....but I ain't used to oil burning things. Exhaust has been a little noise from the turbo down pipe for a little while if that helps.

Well no laning, no epic pics but did manage to fit light bar and a set of spots.......however we do have a very poorly engine, don't know what it is, sounds like exhaust manifold/gasket has gone on a port, will investigate tomorrow in the light and hopefully no rain....here's hoping for no more...

I use mine as a daily. Tho I have a vw camper and am currently restoring a 1972 bug also. The 2a would have been project number three lol. I work 20 miles away so the disco needs it usual (un)refinements lol

I was looking at a 2a earlier....don't need much to make it legal but I don't see the point in having another vehicle just to have one off roader
