    im trying to replace my airmass meter. reg w174xcw, the one fitted is bosch 0281002180. but these seem for vauxhalls so im assuming its wrong one. which do i need? i need sell car as its just gone thru mot and i want it to run right. i did try 0281002182 but while it fitted car, it didn't fit...

    had a loud clattering noise from engine. turned out to be water pump. had all timing belts replaced as i have no idea if or when they have been done before: 100,000+ miles on clock. just cv joint, rear brake pipes and airmass meter to go. mot in october. most expensive year so far. glad i did...

    Am i right in assuming its the cv joint? is it an MoT fail? MoT due soon so only want to do jobs for that first. the only other problem, mostly when cold, is acceleration falters at 20mph and 30mph. i just change up a gear. would a new air-mass filter sort this? mine is a W reg and log book...

    will find out next week when it has a pre-mot check. once i know the true condition i can decide about having some fun in it. though a proper off roader might be better and this will at least mean i can escape car-boot field carparks without a tow in wet weather keep looking at switch on gear...
