What have you done to your Freelander today

Indeed. Just need to know someone who can do a decent repair job on the rear sills. The rest of the car is pretty decent corrosion-wise and I'd like to keep it going for a few more years yet.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Alot of work done today. New rear brake flexi hoses and short joiner sections fitted, drums painted, ird oil changed, vcu bearings aligned, some serious rust tackled and the underside Lanoguarded. Also adjusted the ARB and rear brakes and programmed a fob too. All with considerable assistance...

    ignore thread please

Morning ignorees. Well done for taking the UK nightshift of ignoring for us Grumpy. With the time difference that works out pretty well. I'm on for some solid ignoring today though. I'm off to see Andyfreelandy shortly so we'll ignore jointly. I shall report in later to let you know how that's gone.

Same here. I'm up early tomorrow so ignoring for the night is good for me. I'll ignore again first thing.

    ignore thread please

You could claim you were distracted by a very important thread on the forum, although thinking about it you are probably best ignoring it all together for your own safety

In which order should I proceed for the repairs ??

1st job is do a one wheel up test (plenty of info on here). If the VCU is duff you can take the prop off and then it doesn't matter what tyres you have on the car and you can drive it with them as much as you want. If the VCU is good, you can either take the prop off until you get new tyres...

Freelander 1 Headlining and Door Panel Replacement - completed

Yep, excellent work there. I intend to do mine at the same time as the headlining and use the same fabric

What have you done to your Freelander today

The females in my family seem to like to take a hold luggage sized bag/case each with us when we're going away for just a couple of nights. What with my toolbox and junk in the boot I struggle to fit their stuff in each time. I myself always travel light! I feel your pain

Why are the disc brake clips always wrong?

Not much help to you I know, but this reminds me of every oil filter I've ever bought for the FL1 being supplied with a copper washer that does not fit the sump plug. I've got twelve of them now.

    Freelander 1 Preserving the scarce ! FL1

Yeah, I've been asked if I'd sell mine by a couple of eastern Europeans I know over the years to do exactly that. Apparently it's a "relatively" straight forward conversion.

What have you done to your Freelander today

The oil cooler went on mine a few years ago too. I don't think it's one of the coolers though as it really doesn't appear like there is any oil in the coolant. My slight worry is combustion stuff obviously. There is a dark residue in the bottom of the header and the coolant is definitely a bit...
