    Ignition locked

The barrel collapsed on my D2, which I had to change but this wasn't sudden. It became Increasingly difficult over a few months. Removed shroud and drilled bolts out from above to change.

    Intermittent SRS Light - Discovery 2 2004

Agreed, diagnostic read is the way to go but does anyone know if the warning light flashes in sequence ? I recall X-Type Jags had a flash sequence that indicated which circuit. Slightly OT I know, just curious.

    Land Rover Series II - 88 - 1960

In my humblest of opinions I would dispense with the concourse plan and go for good useable. And use it !

There is one unanswered question. Are BMW Forums as friendly as this ? 😁

    removing tailgate freelander 2 td4

You've probably got this by now but connections are under the headliner.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 2007 won't start.

If it clicking I would assume it trying to start. The Park switch usually does not allow that. A good code reader will help you out, but whilst you waiting double check all battery/starter connections and earths. Double check any connections that may have been disconnected especially in the...

Interesting Video, but how does the Driver get away with Driving with all those Cameras on the 'screen ? 🤔

Handbrake not holding on steep incline

There is a nut and thread adjuster at the rear of the centre console for a quick fix, pop up the reartray to access just ensure handbrake is off before adjusting.. But given the age of any FL2 the brakes themselves could probably do with a service.

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

I've just had a little google but can't see any pictures. The part you have there looks like the LHS, facing forward from back of car. Make and secure connection, carefully line up white clips and push home ensuring nothing sticking out.

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

There should be one on either side. As in your picture the wider end goes to the base of the tailgate. Green two pin connection at the top. Just be careful when fitting as if it catches you will have the same issue. It is a little fiddly but easy enough. If I where you I would replace that lower...

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

You should be able to refit that part without removing panel. Connect green connector, locate the plastic clips and carefully push into place. The bottom clip in photo looks damaged.

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

Yes it is and I was wrong ! I gave instructions to remove Evoque tailboard. The sport is similar but, you have 2 screws behind the handle cover, RHS, and one bolt behind the warning triangle cover. That part pictured is the anti-trap mechanism. And if missing may well be causing your fault...

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

The panel on the Evoque is held in place by a series of trim clips. And 8mm bolt under the warning triangle cover. Use a plastic wedge or trim tool to lift one corner, then work your way around carefully popping each on out, I think there are ten. You will need to disconnect the close button...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 2007 won't start.

Not shorted a starter for quite some time, but does that work with modern starters ? Not sure if they need an exciter feed to wake them up.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 2007 won't start.

Gorra be honest, never seen that before. You've done a battery reset, next step could be hard reset, disconnect both battery leads and touch them against each other. Worth a go ?

    Disco 2 immobiliser/central locking issues

I opened up my receiver box to expose the printed circuit and left to dry in tub of dry rice. An overnight in airing cupboard had it operating again after refit.

FL 2 Off road experience day ?

Did a LR Experience in a FL2 some years back the Freelander went 90% of the same route as the bigger cars. They will surprise you for most use. Just be aware LRE are expensive. I would shop around for local off road instruction and explain to instructor what you want and have you have FL. Not...

Disco 2 Disco 2 td5 cranks but wont start.

Yes 100Km is a long way but if you have no one local and it has you stumped then I would be considering it. If this guy is recommended and you trust him a recovery may be money well spent ?

Disco 2 Disco 2 td5 cranks but wont start.

Nanocom or similar standard will be a best choice. But, if it were me I would be spending my money on something like Foxwell or Autell. I know many will say you need a dedicated machine but it would be nice to use them on a variety of vehicles.

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

Presume you have self closing tailgate with powered struts ? These have anti trap feature to reduce accidents. I'm guessing they are sensing an obstruction and reopening for safety. Few things to check, make sure the tailgate seal is correctly fitted with no bulges or overlap. Open the tailgate...
