whatever fits just make sure all crud is out ,(helps stop it spitting), can be worth putting slightly bigger patch than you need on so you can get at it better

no. 1 tip, have fire ex. handy :) make sure all carpet is pulled out way plan aproach depending on welding equipment watch out for fuel lines !!!

caustic soda solution works on heaters but dont leave it in all day, just hour or so repeat if req.
