there's something else inside the right hand one doesn't look like trailer stuff. My owners manual says it's under the front right seat , which it isn't. Where it would go in the boot I just have two empty spaces meaning a big boot.

I did have that apart when I did the non return valve and found a unused plug however someone did say it's just. Trailer electrics.

I've never ran LPG so I can't really comment on it. For a V8 I don't thinks it that bad on fuel , well it's better than my dads l322 4.4 petrol ,fuel gauge moves more than the bloody rev counter.

I have heard lpg can ruin engines due to the gunk , similar to what comes out of a forklift.

Does it make me more brave that it's a 4.0 that I daily drive to work and isn't on LPG ?

With all things considered I am tempted to see what my local specialist would charge to do the cam for me, while this will be expensive it's cheaper than a new engine or car. Being new to working on engines this isn't something I want to get wrong , it's my daily car and only car.

Which I imagen with a torque cam , it's almost definitely going to need shimming. I may try to contact a local specialist closer to the time , to see wether I could get them to come out and check for me.

Both radiators air con and coolant got replaced under my ownership so there brand new. Shimming the rockers is something I am trying to wrap my head around , I don't understand how you check the hydraulic lifter clearance or how big of a shim to add.

My dad told me about a company called tuners garage , they apparently specialise in the P38, can do ECU and gearbox tuning.

It's probably overkill, as the engine is extremely quiet no tappet noise or the dreaded liner tap, more to do with preventative maintenance. However I am at 122,000 miles. Since this car has been hidden away for a few years this is something that will be added into my to do list. Thanks...

Is it worth rebuilding the rockers and replacing the pushrods ? Or is that more trouble Than it's worth.

I'm an amature mechanic at best , how difficult is it to do the cam? I've purchased some land rover workshop manuals to try and teach myself, so I have a minor understanding.

I'm talking of an ECU tune on a dyno , if I have that done before a cam change , would doing the cam cause any issues?
