For that money I would get a 200tdi, it will be in great condition and have a lot of what you want to do already done.

Mine stays on, looks good and my roof lights are on it. Too handy to take off as well as it is a hassle to put it on for a quick B&Q pick up, most of the times it has been used have been last minute.

That is something I have thought of and failing finding a specific one for a tubular rack I think I will go down that route. They are half the price and I like the idea of having the three nuts and ability to use locking wheel nuts to secure. Thanks.

Yep they are nice, pulled 2 out of the snow this winter and they looked nice inside so you would be comfortable waiting to get rescued.

Yep seen that one, the front runner one is designed for their racks I believe and fits directly to it but that is a flat bar rack not tubular.

I would like to put a spare on the roof rack but can't find a carrier that will fit onto my roof rack. It's a Land Rover tubular roof rack and most of the carriers I have seen don't seem to be right for it, any ideas? I know I can modify a standard rear door one or one of the many I have...

Just curious to see if any one has used these and what they thought of them?

I got mine from a main dealer with a warranty (td5) paid a bit more for it than I wanted to but the warranty came in handy as they replaced the rear screen (heater not working) fixed a bit of water ingress even though not covered by the warranty, put new door seals in and replaced some switches...
