Hi anyone know were I can find a gearbox cross member for a td5 90 ?

Hi all i have recently purchased a galvanised chassis to start rebuilding my 90 on but i wanted to rust proof it while it was bare so i wondered what is the best stuff to use exactly or a combination of things to stop it rusting for a long time i know waxoyl is the best stuff to use but what one...

i got 265/75 s on mine wasent recomended for health and safety rubbish but supposidly they can take them max !

i have some for sale if you want them 5 of them they were painted black hammerite when i got them and there 6.5j x 16 if that helps !

no point to clutch claw you can change gear without the clutch !

Just git a galvanised chassis for a puma but i have a td5 engine to put on it. Does anyone how hard ut is to weld the new mounts in the right place also is there a way of grinding them off without wrecking the galvo cheers.

i get this now and again but it seems to be getting worse though and more often !

As 90boy said hammer and chizel is the best way just make sure yer do it right.

hi yes i think ik hopfully will be there tried last time tmake it and the timing belt went half way there haha hopfully i will make it anyway if so then are yuo all still meeting under the bridge at half 9 ?

Yep i would say they would fail you on that try filling it in with solid putty then keep painting over it with thick paint and it will cover it up but if its possible you should cut it out and weld a piece in :)

how do they connect to the body are the fixing just flat to the steel if so then do they not hit the seal?

Yeah i would but i need pictures of the external guards and measurements of them and i havent got them have i so i cant measure sumfin i aint got can a !

Hmm I thought of this and I went along to speak to them put they wanted a load of photos and exact measurements and that but I haven't got em to give to him !

Yeah i was looking into the mantec ones but apparently they go rusty quickly on the external ones !
