Did you really need to take a hand held video to identify the problem, when it was obvious that your steering was fcked? Much safer to diagnose such problems when the vehicle is recovered and stationary.

Thanks, it is standard LR kit. The spare wheel key is much lower torque design and is like a squashed spline arrangement. Anyway the garage is going to pay for LR to replace it, just need to take it to a dealer and let them find the keys that fit.

My local tester is like you describe, but he still told me he would need to fail it if presented without a cat. It's not worth the risk to him of losing his testing license, it's much stricter than it used to be.
