    2 Stroke in Diesel

MIneral 2-stroke is perfectly dissolved by diesel and it doesn't separate on standing. The only problem I can think of, is if you add the 2-stroke after you fill up it may sit on the bottom of the tank for a while till it dissolves completely. Solution - add before you fill up. IMO the real...

    Veg oil

Veg. oil gums up everything that gets hot, as it breaks down easily. It might be OK mixed with derv, but I still wouldn't trust it

    Asbestos content in landys

As an owner of an Asbestos monitoring and testing business, I can tell you that there is little risk from any asbestos in automotive gaskets. Brake and clutch friction linings do produce dust in use, but the type of asbestos employed was Chrysotile (white asbestos) that is not the type...

Viscous fan cuts in too soon

I would just remove it, especially with winter about to start. If your cooling system has always had the correct concentration of OAT antifreeze there should be no problem. The system has a considerable over capacity, being designed to cross deserts. You could think about fitting an electric...

    Half shaft issue

Shouldn't need to loosen the driving member - there should be a tapped hole at the end of the driveshaft that you can screw a suitable bolt into and pull.

    Diesel in engine oil?

Sniff test is the best - diesel is very distinctive and detectable in minute traces, like when you've washed your hands after filling up.

    Dual mass flywheel/ clutch

Firstly are you sure you want to use Britpart? Reviews of solid flywheel conversion are not brilliant, seems to knacker the gearbox due to excessive vibration.

That's hilarious, a wind-up I think. No mention of V5 or VIN plate.

    Thick Rust removal

THE best rust/scale remover for steel is phosphoric acid. It can be purchased on ebay at strengths up to around 82%, but it needs to be diluted to around 30% to work effectively. Dissolves rust and passivates the steel surface with iron phosphate. I've tried many other rust treatments over...
