And as always the more you look the more find . But still love the fact that I can...

Uch well no worries Neil, mine will need to keep till the better weather and late nights babies I do the same. Would love to take mine off the run to do it it in one go. Done the o/s sill, and inner arches during the summer, so will move on to the the other sill and a few minor holes here and...

Hi Neil, sorry for late reply just got a spare minute to come on here. Yes i think i got it sussed. The rear trailing arm bushes (chassis end) are gubbed. Hard and cracked, not helped by the added stress of 2 inch lift. So this causes the weird torque steering effect but all should be well when...

    Throttle steering?

Again cheers for the info boys, It hadn't occured to me yet about checking the bushes as i wasn't getting any knocks and had replaced front radius arm and all roll bar bushes in the summer, but since you mentioned it I done a search on trailing arm woes and the same handling characteristics came...

    Throttle steering?

Hmmmm cheers wasnt thinking about bushes cheers. The rear trailing arm to chassis bushes are crusty and cracked but the arm to chassis seems ok last time i was under about a month ago. Cheers I'll check them next. oh and i suppose they are under a bit more stress since doing the two inch lift...

    Throttle steering?

Evnin, I have been increasingly aware of a weird problem and just wondered your thoughts on possible or most likely cause. if I accelerate the car pulls to the left if I come off it pulls to the right. although its not a heavy pull I could almost steer it on the throttle on some shallow bends...

    Fitting One new tyre?

Was just wondering peoples views/expert opinions on fitting one new tyre? I ask as i just bought 5 x second hand BFG's, 4 are worn to about 5 mm one is brand new (spare). All in excellent condition. just seemed a waste of a nice fresh tyre not to fit but wondered where best to place it. So...

weller 8 spoke steel wheels, reversible?

Cheers for comments Dr Evil, I found some more threads since posting this and yeah it sounds like a non starter. I originally looked at them and couldn't see any bevel or chamfer on the bolt holes but on better light today there is a slight bevel to self centre the wheels on the nuts. So the...

    300tdi fuel pump adjustments

Good link but I think that has left me confused as its too in-depth and I have already done this mod, so Christ knows what someone doing it for the first time would think.. I followed a similar but more simple guide to adjusting the pump and have had no issues other than mores smoke on cold...

weller 8 spoke steel wheels, reversible?

Hi, just finished painting my set of newly acquired Weller 8 spokes. I just wondered if you can fit them the other way round to give a deeper dish/off-set for stability? And if so any problems with contact? I have a 2 inch lift and so far only have 205/80/16 on them so clearance should be ok. I...

    300tdi leak-off pipes

Just took the pipes off and found a big split in one and several cracks in another . So have temporarily put clear tubing on in place till I can get new leak off pipes.:(

    300tdi leak-off pipes

Gatch yer a legend, cheers. I didn't realise you could get them.from halfords. There isnt any room left to cut as most of them.have been cut I think previously as they are very short, which is probably part of the issue . If I fit new pipes should I always bleed the lines at the filter bleed...

    300tdi leak-off pipes

Hi just replaced the glow plugs the other day and noticed that two of the injector leak off pipes are really loose on the injectors. So 1). Should they be ? 2). If not, could this be the cause of my poor cold morning starts ? 3). What can I use as a replacement if they are nackerd as can't...

    discovery rear light cluster aaaarrrrrrrrrggghhh

Lol AVP, I'm not that far behind you ;0) 7 seaters are the worst though. I took the dickie seat out but the bracket still sticks out at the top, just where you need to undo the top nut. I'm sure there is such a thing as a nut ( plastic) that you can push on but thread off, that would be a bit...
