Thank s for that, i have ordered the £48 from ebay and i will see how i get on i have stripped and cleaned the rest up and mastic'd it up It leaked less last night with a plastic sheet on it held down with a brick than it did previously !

Cheers , so it is a bodge of sorts then! Certainly hasn't worked in this case as it leaks...but thanks for confirming that the black one is a seal and can be removed..now to find out which one to buy.

Hello all its stopped raining so i am back on the landy. (1985 110 lt77 and 300tdi) The oil has been leaking on the gravel from the hand brake drum all winter so i had a look today.. when i stripped it down, have i got too many seals in this? As ever am not sure what the parts on my vehicle...

110 1985 original tank has one fuel pipe thats smaller than the other in circumference looks to be 6mm the other 8mm ish which is the return the big one or the small one? i really can't work it out my guess is its the big one thats the return from looking at it but they were cut when i bought it...

Stop switch an glow plugs I have wired in although not from this particular bit of loom and are ok. Think you might be on the money with oil pressure I'm now trying to work out what guage the wire is!

Cheers I have been through the various diagrams but its like going back in time there are multiple grafts into the original loom over the years !
