There is a torque setting somewhere-- cannot remember where it is-- I have seen them with rigid shackles and springs- really funny.

if you get an ACR head or SU conversion you can make the std engine quite good.

Bought a 73 SWB for a lady with one fitted- lovely engine- what the 2 .25 should have been like. So much better than a std petrol- better torque. If I had one spare I would use it to replace the diesel in my S1 pick up.

Have a look at the Chassis at the front, on the exhaust side- if the top is flat it is a series 2 - if it has a rounded fillet in the top centre- Series 3 .

we were talking about that. Is there risk of the pipe being damaged off road?

Is it just us - or is it everyone who has so much difficulty bleeding the rakes on 109? 3 of us with a sealey pro brake bleeding kit spent a day and a half trying to get a good pedal. between us we had 142 years of experience- yet we still struggled and did it time after time until exhaustion...

Tab Washer I put one on incorrectly and the od twittered until I changed it.

I can beat that for not adjusting the valve clearance----I have a slight tap on one of my rockers- it isn't on a landy though, my 1966 Volvo amazon- I built the engine in 1996 - and HAVE NOT ADJUSTED the valve clearances yet- I change oil- not engines...

many thanks- I have a LT77 with 5 speed thingy mounted to a Perkins 4236. goes well but I was worried if it would have too much torque for the box..
