Yes I hope so Brian,my wife is cracking up with me because I sold a perfectly good Shogun to buy an l322, but I think she actually quite likes it.so it's all good

Hi guys,just a quick update on the beer money l322, took it up to Inverness today,a round trip of just under 300 miles and it drove faultless, and I was very surprised at the fuel consumption,my previous range rover was a p38 2.5 manual and was heavier than this range rover.so I'm very chuffed

Yep what a donkey ,I'm to used to sorting diggers and dumptrucks,but all in all not the worst job I've ever done,I did find removing the transfer box when putting the transmission back in a lot easier but man was it heavy

Thanks phil,I've got a scrap box from an x,5 just to see it seems like a lot of work,but on the up side I think I've found out why my box is slipping 4/5, not enough volts going to tcc solenoid,and 3/4 shift control spring broken so happy days possibly,I will keep you posted,also the gm manual...

Thanks guys,after a bit of digging I found out that the Early x3 x5 both used the gm box with the later x5 beefed up to deal with the torque issue with the 3.0 diesel,also shift components are on the opposite side but has the same ecu multi plug,so I need to do a bit more digging and I will let...

No, iam not explaining myself well,when you go through the service your gearbox sequence and you go through the automatic side then you do the manual side I was sure it should go up to top gear to allow everything to fill with oil.cheers

Sorry it's 14.6 at tick over, just checked the alternator, could the low voltage at the gearbox cause the fail safe to come on going between 3rd and forth it's giving the impression of slipping when you put your foot down but fine all the way up to third,I am getting engine braking coming down...
