I just found there are petrol D4s on the market. Will be looking at those when I next need to change! (if there are any left by then)

Hi, just viewing this as I have a similar fault to fix. My D2 Auto has no reverse lights, no rear wiper (in reverse) and the rear sensors don't work, but the R signal is ok, brake lights are ok and the car reverses ok - so does that mean it's probably the switch? I do have a spare switch, just...

It was a holed turbo oil return hose. Could have been nasty! Glad I didn't drive it much.

After I took the D4 for an oil change (as per rebuild warranty requirements) I noticed it was showing as over filled. I had to take it to them for a start-motor refurb so I asked them to check the oil; they said it wasn't very much over and not to worry about it. Now it's got a significant oil...

I guess if you can read the current voltage and mileage, you can figure out the rate of consumption per mile so if you know what your floor voltage is, it shouldn't be too difficult to estimate remaining mileage. What devices are you using? I might do some Googling...

My Disco 2 has a dodgy alternator so it has a solar panel permanently connected at the mo (It's not my main car) but it seems to be enough to keep the battery topped up. Just wondering if those might help at all given how cheap they are now, or would they be a drop in the ocean, or voltage...

I replaced the lighter socket with a twin usb socket on my Defender, then realised I had so many different devices (e.g. tyre inflator) that needed a lighter socket! 🤦‍♂️
