had a bit of a look at it and its a lucas a127 65 with a red wire disconnected and yer I think you are spot on the small brown and yellow wire produces 9.8 volts and the small white wire produces 0.3 so looks like im ordering a new alternator

unfortunately I don't have the lucas plug on my alternator and I don't know which wire is D+ and I cant find a wiring diagram for it on here

hey mate I too have a 109 ffr the best thing to do is to take a 2 leaves out the rear springs as these are pretty much the same as 1 ton springs (HD chassis and army great at overloading them) but while you have them apart clean each individual leave up and don't forget what order they came out...

move the rad back that inch as you are going to need it and wire in a switch so you can have the electric fan running all the time offroad or towing
