If your still in Glen Coe your options are Lix Toll South of you, about 1 hours drive or find a Garage in Fort William about 40 minutes drive North of you. If your brakes are not working properly don't try and drive to Skye, there are lots of big hills on the way.

If you cannot drive your Land Rover, Lix Toll have recovery trucks. They also recover vehicles for the AA, RAC, Greenflag etc.

I would say Engine 710 are the best. Your Disco is being transported from Glasgow and 710 is just off the motorway.

In the Highlands, NC 500, you have campervan and caravans parking in cemetery car parks, school car parks, entrances to fields, passing places on single track roads and a multitude of other unsuitable places. You could hire a car or small van, that way you wouldn't have to worry about insurance, breakdowns etc.

Wild camping in Scotland is only legal if your on foot and carrying your kit, you don't need a permit to wild camp. pulling over in a lay-by, or bit of grass next to the road in a campervan, caravan or car with a roof tent is illegal without the land owners consent...

If your visiting Scotland be aware that the only place you can camp with a roof tent on a vehicle is a campsite unless you have permission from the land owner of your chosen " off grid " campsite.

Your easiest option would be to buy or hire an engine crane, remove the diesel engine, cut off the engine mounts, hold the V6 in place with the crane, bolt it to the gearbox, bolt engine mounts to the engine then weld to the chassis. if you can't weld get in a mobile welder who could do it for...

The number you have posted is the engine type, it's a 3 ltr Capri engine. The engine number is stamped on the flat surface at the back of the engine block above the flywheel.

The V6 engine mounts are in a different position compared with the standard LR mounts. Steve Parker used to have the fitting instructions on their web site but I don't see them anymore. It might be worth your while to e-mail them and see if they still have them somewhere and they could send them...
