    L322 GAP IID G3

Agreed. And a quick search has SDD loaded on a 2nd hand laptop with a connector for ~£350

    L322 GAP IID G3

Yep - you need a laptop to run SDD - an old lappy will work fine. And you need a cable to connect obviously. It’s the dealer system. Depending on how much work you want to do, just find someone local with it to break reconfigure the bits you want doing? There are a couple of ‘places’ on the...

I’ve got SDD, and don’t understand more than about 3 screens. I did manage to program a key, so that’s a ‘thing’.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Secure lockbox

If something is risky enough to warrant needing a safe, but small enough to fit in something smaller than a shoe box, why leave in your car in the first place? Just put ‘it’ the glove box out of sight, or the boot and pull the cover over - no one will know that ‘it’ is even there in the first place.

Oooof! Still trying to work out how it was even done!

Ordered a treat for my F2… you’ll have to wait and see 😉

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyres (again)

Ok - but Geolanders GO15 are NOT directional. Tyre match and even wear is super-important on an F1 due to the VCU system (assuming it’s all connected and the prop is fitted) So, on an F1, if ever you want/need to run the spare, you need to ensure it has similar wear to the other 4, hence...

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyres (again)

Not directional. On my F1, I rotated mine every now and then (including the spare) to ensure even wear on all 5, for the VCU. (Otherwise you end up with a spare that isn’t actually any use longer term)

I would just like to say

Nah - just letting the water out

What have you done to your Freelander today

If it were me, I’d change the oil in the gearbox, PTU and rear diff too, just for peace of mind. And get a really good battery.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Looks very tidy 👍 Good MOT history too 👍 Have a good rummage through the history and give it a good service. There are some things that, at that age, would need doing if not already done, but for now just enjoy it.

Tyre Choice Thread ... another one! Same old questions, sorry ...

Here are 225/65/17 geo’s on my old FL. Concur that the geo gives a great all round ride, as well as grippy enough if you want fun off the tarmac. We had just stopped for a cuppa after a day greenlaning in this pic. For a curve ball - I have the Falcon Wildpeak AT3 on my F2, and would say that...

    Freelander 1 USB Sockets

The console comes apart fairly easily… Loosen a couple of screws in panel between the seats (think there were some under the armrest cubby or the little panel under the handbrake). Remove gearstick gaiter. Couple of screws around the console tunnel at the front and then the tunnel section slides...

    Freelander 1 USB Sockets

Or just get something that doesn’t go ‘straight out’ of the socket perhaps? There are lots of odd shapes available and they’ll save might save you some hassle…
