What did you do with your Range Rover today

I popped all the festoon ones out without paying too much heed and they were all 39mm. It wasn't until I came to fit the new rears that I noticed they were a tad long but still fitted and made good electrical contact. Someone before me must have replaced them sized incorrectly.

    200tdi shredding cambelt.

I had a tensioner that had a slight bend in the mounting plate once, brand new part but can't remember the make, too long ago, like 20yrs maybe.

    P38A Steering wheel removal

I've heard of a thing called a clockspring? Where is that located? Is it worth trying to get that off for a spare whilst grabbing the wood wheel?

    P38A Steering wheel removal

That works on my Defender but was fruitless on the 38 but.....I didn't persevere I admit, after spotting it wasn't necessary for a button decal refurb. If I do manage to get this wood wheel it's going to need a full refurb and the leather dyed from lightstone to black, never done anything like...

    P38A Steering wheel removal

Might have purchased a wood/leather steering wheel for my dhse. In the past I've stripped my wheel down to refurb the buttons but after removing the big nut I couldn't get the wheel off the splines. I then realised that the wheel hasn't got to come off to do the buttons so I put the nut back on...

    Door won’t shut

Work the latch with a screwdriver, door open of course. You may find it's sticky, some brake cleaner or similar sprayed around it will cure that. Then adjust the b piller striker.

Unidentified component in the engine bay

The pipe to the manifold says it is a booster then. This could be for the brakes or the clutch depending on where that copper pipe goes.

It's proper old whatever it is. Period accessory? Where do the rubber and the thin copper line go to? At a guess I'd suggest brake booster?

Argo on ebay. I confess I paid little heed to brightness I just wanted to reduce battery drain and hopefully get a bit more brightness. It's definitely brighter in there now so I'm pleased. Quality looks to be very good too and delivery was quick. This was my order below.

    P38A Tailgate wouldnt open.

Has a fiddle. I can confirm that the 20mm access hole I made in the lower tailgate to open the lower tailgate DOES also open the top tailgate. So rear seat folded down and a bit of a stretch and I can release the top hatch if it does it again. I'll have a proper fiddle when the weather improves...

    P38A Tailgate wouldnt open.

That's given me a thought...the hole I made in the card allows me to open the lower hatch with my finger or a screwdriver but I've never checked to see if it would also release the top hatch as that has never failed to open (until yesterday). I shall fiddle somewhat tomorrow if its not too cold...
