My new vdo pump has arrived and as I need to keep the tank half full to keep driving I've thinking about how to empty it for removal. Is there an anti syphon arrangement in the filler system anywhere? I've got a 12v fuel pump that I'll probably have to step down the 3/4" hose on it.

I'd get 2 new hose clips ready too if they are anything like mine were. I cut them through with something, can't remember what, hacksaw, dremal, grinder or broken hacksaw blade. Mines a diesel though, hacksaw only on a ⛽️ petrol.!

Depends how much loom you need to get at. I had an issue but it was an earth cable which is get atable once the head lamp is out.

So, as only one switch changes state is that correct? The other needs constant 12v? All doors lock and unlock off the fob and the key now so if that constant 12v is not correct then something shouldn't be working?? I have two issues connected to the doors though , osr knob and occasional but...

OK. Just checked them switches again. Right key switch changes state to ground from 12v but left switch stays at 12v. I do struggle to get the lead into the car end, bad back and knees don't help. Annoyingly the gearbox fan runs constantly when in diagnosis mode, that's a new thing! Pleasingly...
