I have an arc welder and have done a bit of welding on the bench but not on the car. Where would you attach the earth to ? Really don't want to fry the ecu or anything else for the sake of an exhaust? Cheers

Hi , Just recently the intake manifold has got oily on the outside as per the picture. I will replace the oil filter and clean out the pipes but is there anything else I should be checking? Thanks for any help and advice. Cheers

Thanks as always for the advice @Datatek. I was hoping to avoid having to do the job twice or have the car out of action whilst tracking down a replacement ecu. I was sort of hoping there would be some logic to which ecu was in each vehicle ;)

Hi, One of my airbags deployed recently so I need to replace the airbag dcu. However there seem to be many different versions out there. They seem to be coded bu ywc numbers or amr numbers? Can anyone help with which code would fit my vehicle please as I am struggling to find much info online...

@aj1954 Cheers. I've been looking everywhere for a spilt system like you describe but can't find one in the sensible £££s. I would love the Rimmer Sports as did see those but that would result in divorce through financial mismanagement rather than demolishing the gearbox :):):)

Thanks @Datatek that makes sense. Just changed Rad so could do with avoiding that! By supporting with the jack will it not keep the gearbox assembly at the same height and so no pivot though ?
