Testing the earth is straight forward, pick a good earth in that area and test for continuity accross the ecu plug. For the positive for the ecu, check through the fuses for an engine fuse, once located, check using the same earth you had in the bodywork (key on position) and sweep the ecu plug...

Fair point about the springs, check the rear brake lines between the body and the chassis, especially above the cross member above the rear axle. They do give up in that area👍 As for a front brake différence, the calipers may just be passed their use date. I have a tool at the garage that reads...

I'd go straight for the connection on the back of the ignition switch. There is a black plug section with copper contacts similar to relay connections. These corrode and blacken with carbon. We had one at the garage that start only in the morning and when it dried out it wouldn't start and all...

It'll depend on their mark up scale and the hub they are supplying. I've bought blueprint hub assemblies and had one fail after 3yr...ill rebuild this one myself 😕

That corrosion is going to cause no end crap with the signals.. That's a bodge if ever I saw one 😱
