Classic Classic EAS Diagnostics Help Near Nottingham

Hi All, Bottom Line: I need help with getting my EAS to work on my classic after reinstating much of the system. It has never worked in the time I've had the car but all the components seem to check out as far as I can tell. I'm located in Nottingham UK if anyone is willing to help me in...

So I haven’t quite got to the bottom of all the rust just yet. There were a few grotty bits on the chassis I needed to sort. One where the crossmember under the gearbox attaches and one on each end of the extension where they made the 108” chassis. Chopped out… Maybe need to go a bit...

Well I've been plodding along and neglecting my thread as usual. Interior reassembly was delayed due to the fan not working for a while. Got to the bottom of that in the end. Seized fan... That would do it. Replaced with a used one along with rebuilding the whole heater box which had been...

1992 200tdi Discovery, improving daily driver turned into rebuilding rear end.

Might not do any harm to connect the old wire as well if it's still there? If nothing else it will mean that it can't move around and short out anywhere as I doubt there will be a fuse anywhere in it. Just a thought. Rich

1992 200tdi Discovery, improving daily driver turned into rebuilding rear end.

On the Range Rover the positive for the alternator goes to the starter and then a second cable goes to battery positive from there. All the same really I suppose but the main cable from the battery to the starter is crimped into the battery terminal on the Range Rover so I don’t know how the...

So this evening I’ve managed to fix a wiring fault I’ve been chasing for the past week or so. I’ve had half the dash back out trying to work out why everything powered by the ignition load relay wasn’t getting power. The ignition load relay exists to power everything on the accessory position of...

Well there’s been some progress since my last response. As usual not as much as I’d have liked but progress is progress. I got all the wiring and carpets back in place. I cleaned and applied dielectric grease to every wiring connector as I went. Also completely stripped the wiring for the...

HI All, Made a bit more progress. I've got both the front footwells painted, all the sound deadening mats in and the wiring looms all back in their rightful routes. Few more bits fitted in the engine bay. Passenger side painted. Found some more pin holes to fix on the drivers side...

Well I've not updated this really since getting the car back have I. Honestly there's not really a lot to see is the main excuse. I covered the hidden bits and the cavities in Corrolan and the engine bay in Dinitrol 4010 in a hope to hold the rust back for as long as possible. The Corrolan...

Looks awesome. You're braver than I am if you're going to use any of the capability you just fitted in a shell as tidy as that! I really like the fact that you're not just ripping out the technology. Look forward to seeing the next step. Rich

Nice work. Feel free to take a look at mine if you want to check whether 300 window parts are the same. Car and Commercial getting all the recommendations on here at the moment! Given nobody there gave me the impression that there were any Land Rover fans on the pay roll I'm sure they'll be...

So I missed a bit of the story out here. Last Friday I did some more work on the Discovery having got myself some fresh gas for the welder. Filled in the patchwork boot floor. I wish I had a folder so that I could have made the floor sections less patchwork, but all I have to fold steel...

Hi all, Bit more progress made so far this week. Got several sections made up yesterday evening for the O/S inner arch and boot floor. Today had a sheet of 2mm this steel delivered to make up the cross member that I cut. Made the section of cross member, prepped and weld through primed all...

That bracket is a brilliant idea. Having spent a rediculous amount of time wrestling a gearbox and transfer case into a p38 single handed on the drive way, something similar to that would have been far superior to two trolley jacks and some blocks of wood! I’ll have to keep that idea in mind...

Bit more progress over the past week. Been busy with work and the dog's been being needy so not as much as I might have liked. Missed the MoT deadline on Wednesday so the next journey will be to the MoT station, but I hope that I'll get there next week. Next section to deal with was these...

Hi All, Made a bit more progress on the Discovery. Still no news on the Range Rover from the paint shop. I've had two days on the Discovery so far this week and still have tomorrow to go. I suppose I could work on it on Saturday as well but I think I ought to give the neighbours a break...

Hi All, Another day - more progress. Don't get used to it! Outer sill seemed to fit ok so I welded it on. Did a fantastic job getting the camera to focus as well. Then I patched up the bottom of the b pillar and welded that back on. Looking at it now it looks like it might have been...
