Carpet for rear of a 90?

I'll send you a pic of what I done to mine, cost me well less than 100 quid to fully and properly carpet the rear of my 110 with tons of carpet left over. I'm planning on making carpeted plywood sides for the hardtop as well as carpeting the rear of the bulkhead but I'm very happy with how it...

    on the level

It's a land rover, it's designed for carrying weight. You'll probably find it drives a lot better with a bit of weight in the back but failing that you can fit softer springs

    Slightly uneven rocker cover

Nope, I checked that and replaced the cyclone breather as well but still getting the issue of oil seeping out while I'm driving. It doesn't happen until the engine is suitably warmed up and its not excessive but it's a pain in the arse

    Slightly uneven rocker cover

That does sound like a cheaper option though. I was hoping there was another way without replacing the whole thing. Surely the rubber gasket should seal sufficiently even with a slight warp?

    Slightly uneven rocker cover

I've been chasing a consistent oil leak from the rear of my rocker cover and despite a new gasket and correct tightening of the nuts I'm still getting a bit of a mess leaking down the back at the injector side. If I sit the rocker cover on the head with no gasket you can see it has a slight warp...

    Rear windscreen heater recable....

Turn the rear demister and the rear wiper on and check your random cable for a voltage. There's not a lot of wires back there so it should be easy to sort

    Bolt size Turbo Core

Certainly didn't find that with mine although I did have to grind down one side of my spanner to fit it into the gap. I expected them to be a nightmare to undo but they weren't too bad

    Bolt size Turbo Core

I'm sure i recall them being M8, I just cut bolts down to size. If you've still got it apart check the thread on the manifold

    Quick electrical question

That wouldn't hurt but you should probably also look at fitting a few relays there as well. Having the fuse in line isn't a problem though but a separate fuse box would be neater

Insurance for my 90 County Station Wagon, quite annoyed

If they ever have to pay out you'll probably have to fight them to pay what it's worth anyway, they're an insurance company regardless of the vehicle. Just make sure the agreed value is accurate, defenders aren't particularly easy to value as it is

Insurance for my 90 County Station Wagon, quite annoyed

A lot of insurers will recognise it as a van unfortunately. Just switch insurers, if they won't give you a decent deal then hit them where it hurts and go elsewhere. I used compare the market at my last renewal and got brilliant deals on both my cars

    2 Oil Spots Underneath

Unlikely to be your front diff, that'll more than likely be your transfer box. As for the rear there's a fair amount of oil around there by the looks of it. If it's just a few spots I wouldn't worry too much about it but if you really want to sort it then it could be your rear diff pinion seal...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Had a listen on the website and quite liked them until I saw the price. 65 quid for a pair of horns?!? No thanks

    Clutch Pedal Spring

Aye I've seen the earlier spring but thankfully never had a landy fitted with it. I think you can retrofit the later spring? Or I may be wrong

    Clutch Pedal Spring

This is what I've got fitted

    Clutch Pedal Spring

Can't really make out the pic but mine is the bog standard spring that was fitted when it was built, it's a 96 plate 300tdi. The spring in that pic looks like it's the wrong way round though I can't really see it well

    Clutch Pedal Spring

I adjusted my clutch as per Britannica Restorations videos and it's bloody lovely now. Feels much more like a modern clutch and takes no effort to press at all, not like the older ones where you ended up with muscles of steel on one leg. Worth a short trying just a proper adjustment and bleed...

Car Stereo Options for a 90 CSW

Fair dos, lovely setup you've got there too. First album I ever bought was on cassette tape but that was a while ago lol. This is what I've got in my motor, never thought it looked too modern for it

Car Stereo Options for a 90 CSW

Why you would want a cassette deck just to remain original I've no idea. I've got an all singing all dancing DAB and Bluetooth head unit in mine with speakers in the front and rear, it's great. I can hear my music fine and it connects to my phone straight away. No one in their right mind would...

    Clutch Pedal Spring

How does the LoF spring make the clutch pedal easier to press? The one that's originally fitted on it is a return spring, nothing to do with helping you push it down
