    Winch Spares

Yer that looks like what I will be doing. I assume the crappy remotes still work when its under the bonnet :D

Yer probably my fault for not being clear enough :D

    Which winch?

I bought a new Winchmax winch with synthetic rope for £350 and a tubular winch bumper for £180 (Winch from ebay and bumper from WS4x4) It all depends on your planed useage. If you just want it for the odd occasion you or a fellow landy gets stuck in the brown stuff then i dont see the point...

    Winch Spares

Its already got an albright, the place i got it from upgrades the solenoids for better reliability :) Its not the solenoid i need, its the box it goes in and i can only find the whole wiring kit for £150 but i dont really need another solenoid/controller and remotes :( Thinking of just...

I was referring to this photo and the few after it. You are talking about take the radius arms off but thats the Anti Roll Bar :)

Brake Dics - Solid Disc to Cross Drilled Ventalted

Grooved discs are good on a car you use on track as they deglaze the pads, the reason you dont get them on the average road car is they wear the pads out quicker and you get increased NVH which 95% of the buyers wont like :)

A nice dilemma - advice please

3 months is the average waiting time for a new car these days if you want a fresh order. I ended up picking my ST from stock as i didnt want to wait lol.

    Winch Spares

Due to me being a dunce and punting a fellow landy owner up the arse last night I need a new winch solenoid box :( However doing a quick google this morning its not as easy as I thought it would be. Its a Winchmax one, does anyone know anywhere selling the solenoid boxes for them? i have...

    Essex lanes

Had a slight mishap last night whilst out laning. Exited a lane and whilst going downhill and approaching a slight bend i lifted off and I think due to still having mud on the tyres the back came right round and I ended up facing the wrong way backwards in the hedgerow on the other side of the...

    Springs and things

I am a bit confused as you mention doing the rear radius arms then fit a new ARB ????? Also by uprating the ARBs I assume you dont do much offroading? Those A Frame ball joints take a proper load of force to get out lol, I nearly broke the press at work getting mine out :D

Have you told you insurance company about your modifications?

Cars are luxuries however we have grown used to having them so they have become necessity. Just like Mobiles, 47" TVs and Laptops. Most people these days would not know what to do if you took their phone away from them for a week. How would they talk to their friends???? How are they going to...

Finding The Right Landy Is Not Easy!

What the hell did you do to that poor Supra :D You will be hard pressed to find a off road ready landy thats mint so either buyone already done and put up with the dents and scrapes as you will only be adding to them or buy a nice clean standard one (like i did) and wreck it :D Oh and...

A nice dilemma - advice please

Are you mad !!!! One of the most important developments in car design in the last 20 years IMO :D you cant beat coming out on a frosty morning while all the neighbours are scraping their cars, jump in, turn on, wait a minute then drive off :) I was always in the 'never buy new' camp but I now...

    3dr vs 5dr

I take it that it has decent summer road tyres then as doing that on MTs is just suicide :D

    Bit more progress

Removed the washer jets from the cowling, extended the hose with some clear tubing upto each wiper, fitted the jet on the end and cable tied it to the wiper :)

    Green laning vehicle selection

Yer its a good idea to give it a full service when you get it, change all the oils, do the cambelt if you dont know when it was last done and just generally check it over. Snorkel and wading plugs/extended breathers are only required if you are going swimming so really the first thing to sort...

Throwing the air filter box away

Diesels dont benefit from more boost unless it has the fuel to match :)

    3dr vs 5dr

The arches dont go on 3drs like they do on 5s :p

Throwing the air filter box away

You wont see much gain from just a filter on a diesel. The fuel pump tweek is a good mod if you want a bit more go as is changing the intercooler as the standard one is quite restrictive I think.

Brake Dics - Solid Disc to Cross Drilled Ventalted

I have always found Greens on on lighter cars but no way I would use them on a 2 ton brick :D Yellows used to work well on my 200sx that i used on trackdays but I would say were overkill for a Landy. Like Trax says i would just use Pagids from a motor factors :)
