Oils are so advanced these days there is absolutely no need for any additives, if fact they can do more harm then good as they can mess weith your oils chemistry. Buy a good oil and dont waste your time with these snake oils.

Ok so it looks like I need to replace at least one of my CVs the thing is there seems to be a big difference in price between the Britpart/Allmakes/Bearmach ones and the GKN ones. Are the pattern ones 'good enough' or will they need doing again in 3 months time ????

Try a shot of easy start. I had this last week after i changed the injector pipes, it just couldnt crank quick enough to push all the air out.

Anyone here with a 300tdi running a oil temp guage using the standard oil cooler? If so what temps are you seeing at the moment? I have binned my cooler and am running temp and pressure senders where the pipes went into the filter block. It was my first proper drive today and it was just below...

I have just fitted 10x15 et35s with 33s and my tyres rub on the rock sliders just as i start turning. Its only slightly so probably just going to get the angle grider out and dress the sliders a bit.

ITS ALIVE !!!!!!!! Just took a small squirt of easy start, a few pops and bangs and she roared into life with a massive cloud of grey smoke :D what a pain in the butt, self bleeding system my arse :D Thanks for all the tips :) Now got less than a week to get it ready for Wales :D

It was spot on before the clutch change, never had an issue starting it. I did try easy start before i realise the lift pump was dead it fired but sounded like a bag of spanners lol. Not heard of the rag method might give it a go :D
