    Running Board and Parts

Thanks for all the comments. I obtained the Haynes manual straight away and I'm working through it. Apart from the immobiliser being a nuisance, I like the vehicle so far and its done a good long trip with no bother. There is not as much space for working on the engine as I'd have expected, but...

    Running Board and Parts

Being the new owner of my first Land Rover (Discovery 2, TD5, 2003), I am struggling to find where the best place to buy parts is. With my other car (a Fiat), I used to use Eurocarparts, but these don't seem to have much for the Land Rover. Can someone advise please? I also have a specific...

    New Discovery Owner Questions

So...if I disconnect the car battery, will I be able to open the door with the key? Or will the door just not lock? I suppose that I could just try it. It is on my mind to try and permanently disconnect the whole immobilizer system.

Though a good car it is not good for towing a caravan, hence the new vehicle. I was looking forward to having some room when working around in the engine in comparison to...

Thank you, So, I'll replace plastic plugs when I encounter them. Considering the lack of use since its last oil change, would people recommend changing the other fluids (brake, gearbox, etc.)? Thanks, Andrew

Thanks for all the help and very useful information. Since posting the message I've found out that the vehicle has only done 400 miles since its last oil and filter change in January 2019. Andrew

    New Discovery Owner Questions

I bought my first LR a couple of weeks ago. It is a Discovery 3, TD5, 2003. I am not a trained mechanic but I do as much of my own car repairs as I can. Can someone help me with a couple of simple questions: 1. The Haynes manual says that the oil should be changed every six months. I know that...
