Right then! Checked the loom section, all good. Connectors, ditto. Cleared the fault & the damned thing started!..... All good so far. Got a new pedal & sensor to fit. Good job there is a holiday weekend coming. Many thanks all for your collective invaluable help & advice. :crazy_driver:

This is true! As a novice Landy chap, a 2.5 tdi is a 2.5tdi.... However i now know there are several different 2.5 diesel landy engines. No doubt i shall have many more experts highlighting my errors in a short sucsint manner. Once again, My apollogies....

OK.... Took fuel pipe off..... & had a diesel bath. Checked the crank sensor & all good there. Buggah! Plugged in `the machine` & got a driver demand fault.... No idea.... Looked at throttle pedal voltages & all were in the peramiters. did a load of other checks & still kept getting driver...

Yikes! Better be a bit careful when i drop a pipe off to see if there is any flow then!.

Many thanks Mji, You are correct with towing an auto, BUT, the damned thing cant bump start to rule out battery loss as a manual can. Never thought about a fuel pump prob Gregja, will defo have a look at that..... Anyone got an idea of fuel pressure from the tank pump?. Checked fuses...

F1, F12 & F24.... Am on it!...... Will report back.

Battery is all nice & tight..... tighter than my boss & that takes some doing believe me! Alarm LED flashes then goes off once the key button is pressed. Mighty odd.....

Not had the intercooler out yet Mr Shifty...Think thats a weekend job...Will have a go at bypassing the intercooler & see what happens. Strange thing is, this has come on all of a sudden.... Bloody odd.

OK. An update. Changed the wastegate modulator module.... No change.... Any ideas?

This one has got me baffled..... TD5 runs great BUT..... After a short run theres a total loss of power. Lift the lid, poke, prod (as ya do) then spotted the hose from the intercooler to the manifold had sucked in on itself. Result!. New hose fitted & off we go. Yippee!..... Then it does it...

Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen. Have solved the mystery. After all the new parts etc, i found that the fuel pipe (high pressure side), with the rubber hose on as mentioned earlier was collapsing internaly thus restricting the fuel flow. Renewed the pipe with Diesel friendly hose, cleaned the...

Now the latest in the saga. Started it up this morning, real pain to start, then it cut out after 5 mins without leaving the yard. This is getting a bit tedious now.

All looked suprisingly clean to be fair. Almost as if they had been done recently before we bought the truck 12 months ago.
