Start with new fuse & set off. Main beam, low bean, turn left & right, smooth road, bumpy road, then maybe 20mins, an hour, 2 hours later the fuse goes. No rhyme or reason but it happens.

Thats what i thought...... has thrown me with this damned fuse blowing & the instrument light going out. Obviously the instrument light power comes from somewhere but would have thought it would be side lights rather than headlamps..... You see my dilemma....

Reet then! Seems that fuse 3 in the passenger compartment (by the drivers knee) runs the instrument lights & probably something else. Would be surprised if a transfer box change would cause instrument lights to blow a fuse.... unlike my bank manager who seems to blow a fuse quite regularly! so...

Thats what i thought but didnt disturb wires during the change. was wondering what else fuse 3 controls incase i upset something there. Sadly the fuse legend only shows a book....... Book? Eh? Disco 2 supposed to have a book?....

Right then!. Temp sensor fitted & all good....sort of... Within a couple of mins of start. Temp gets to first notch above the blue. Sits there for about 10 mins then shoots up to normal horizontal. Damned odd.... Anyways, thanks all thus far!

Eyup all! This is a bit of an odd one. Er indoors has a 52plate Disco2 that she loves. To be fair, it is a nice motor. Had all the usual bits, 3 amigos, injector seals etc. Last night we were out for a meal in a country pub, as you do on a summer saturday night & the poor old Disco threw a bit...

Did injector seals a few months ago. But have now got a real odd fuel problem. Have posted details & am seeing what ideas are put forwards. Fuel pump in tank real noisy but car still works. Last night, no power but still going but cant hear pump.... Mighty odd. Guess i need to try a new pump.
