    Damned Wipers..

Not moving atall. Made a half hearted attempt & got about 1/3 the way across then it was all over. New ones aren’t to expensive so I guess it’s put a new one on & see what happens. Funny thing is, been fine all through April!

    Odd Freelander clutch issue.

The plot thickens! Bled it through both conventionally & reverse bleed. Pedal still sticks down now & again. Going for a Master cylinder change. Its a 2013 car & the pedal box fittings look different than in my workshop manual. Looks a devil of a job to do! Anyone done one & can give me some...

    Odd Freelander clutch issue.

Afternoon all! Got an strange one here, 2013 td4 Freelander with an odd clutch problem. Not long had a new clutch kit & concentric slave cylinder fitted so would like to think that’s all good. Was ok for a few weeks & now the clutch pedal occasionally sticks down. Anyone come across this before?

    PAS fluid...

Mornin all! Here’s an odd one. 2003 Defender TD5, drove home last night no issues. Started this morning & got the sort of noise you get when the PAS fluid is low. Next thing is, fluid being blasted out of the reservoir vent hole right across the front wing. Stopped & had a look, real frothy...

    Fuel pump enigma

Tried a few different things, First thing i tried was simply a switch in the power supply to the fuel pump relay. Flick the switch so it is off & turn the key. Burst into life without the relay being energized. Stoped it then pulled the relay incase it was faulty. Turned the key & it started...

    Fuel pump enigma

Pulled the relay & ran fine for a few mins. Popped the seat back in & did a mile or so. Wouldn't rev past 2000 i guess so a bit sluggish. Getting splinters under my finger nails from scratching my head with this one.....

    Fuel pump enigma

Afternoon all! As we all know, there`s a lot of Defenders getting stolen at the mo. Thought to myself I better get a bit of home made security at the very least on it. Logical line of thought went that if the fuel pump is not running, the engine wont.. So! Seat out, start the motor & pull the...

    TD5 injector removal.

just done the injector seals & washers on a motor we have in. Injectors can be a pest to remove so here is a tool I made that makes it easy. Just an old hefty screwdriver & make a 20mm 90deg hook on it. Hook under the injector right by the bolt hole, pull back & pop! Out it comes. Use the hook...

    Diesel Knock...

Afternoon all! Got a lovely little old TD5 Defender here with a real strange problem.. Got lots of smoke & a hell of a knock on No4 cyl. Quick test, pulled the plug off the injector & the knock stopped. Bit of a clue methinks.. So! pop in a new injector, program it & hit the button. Starts as...
