Morning all! Got a 2007 Puma & the Starter is playing up. Looks a bit of a mare of a job TBF. Is it a coolant drain then start taking pipes off? Is it accesssable through the wheel arch once the inner wing is off? Anyone done one & could share some hints & tips please? Many thanks in advance! :D

UPDATE. Dug a bit deeper & when the alarm should sound & the indicators should flash, clicking can be heard in the instrument binacle but no movement can be felt at the alarm relay. Both fuses in the bulkhead fusebox marked alarm are good.

Finaly got round to having a look at taking the fuel pump off. Seems the kit for the 12 & 19J doesnt work on the 11J engines. Full front stripdown looks like the only way forwards without spending a load of cash on a special tool.

Afternoon all! Got an ex military 90 with a 11j engine in it. Fuel Injection pump is throwing fuel out of the throttle spindle for all its worth. Its a CAV DPS pump. Got the timing kit for the 12j & 19j engines but will it work on the 11j or do i need a different kit? Many thanks all!

Thanks for that Lynall, seems its leaking where the outlet banjo pipes are fixed to the body. Guess i could take them off & fit new copper washers on the bolts?. Will have a look at tutorials & see what i can come up with.

Now this is mighty odd.... Put the fob in & steering is locked. Jiggled the steering wheel & the fob, still locked. Pressed the start button & heater control screen lit up. Steering still locked. Main screen flashed the Landrover logo & went off. Sounded like the CD player was trying to decide...

Pressed the lock on the fob without the door shut (incase it locked & wouldnt unlock) & the horn sounded. When the key is pressed into the slot the red light keeps flashing.
