No afraid not. Edc fuel curve is controlled by the ecu map mostly.

Am i right in thinking that engine oil in the top of the lda means the turbo might be a bit tired?

It is a standard pin. But for a different engine with a different fuel curve. It's listed to fit the 1.9td engine found in the older vw transporters. I was just curious as to how it would drive. As it turns out, very well. Its not leaps and bounds better, but it does have more urgency from idle...

Are we saying basicaly the aftermarket boost pins are no good, and pump tuning is better than relying on one?

Forgot to mention that the old pump had virtualy no resistance on both cam and prime levers. The suction and blow though on the pipes was also non existant. Have been driving now for a few days and the engine feels totaly different. I know this may be obvious to some, but worth looking at if...

I recently bought a new 300 tdi discovery manual. I have had a few now and they are all a bit sluggish off the mark. But this one was particularly sluggish, no get up and go, almost stalling through mud and rivers and hills in even 1st gear. Mpg was ok at 30mpg average. Top end was non existant...

You would be suprised. We bought a a3 1.9 tdi with a rotor pump setup, all be it an electric one like the edc engines have. And they connected the pipes wrong when changine the tank sender. The results were strangled performance until i noticed what the garage had done and swapped them back over.

have they connected the fuel lines the correct way round?

Iv just ordered one of these modified boost pins. My pump is totaly standard. Will be interesting to see if just dropping ine of these pins is really better than following the pdf and setting the pump up as bosch would of done.

Well its's not tyres, or steering and geometry. So next step is to check uj's. Its stranfe how it only appears at 70 but i guess thats when the vibration overcomes what the rest of the car can absorb.

Ah that plate means its the little known "exploding engine of death", awful engine, very dangerous, you should sell it to me.......immediately...... ;)

No problem. I take FULL advantage of all the help and advice on here. Better than listening to some 6 year old kid in a technicians outfit in land rover who thinks a distributer is a posh drug dealer!

There does seem to be a very small amount of wheel weights for the type of tyres so i might just take your advice and pop back there to get them to double check. I will double check uj's as said too. Thank you for the advice
