K seal doesn't work, Steel seal does but, I wouldn't put it in a RV8.

    P38A 4.6 V8 won't pull, sluggish, otherwise runs fine.

I was aware of it but, when I had my V8, I never needed to even remove a rocker cover, I have since learned I must have been very lucky with it in the 4.5 yrs I owned it!

    P38A 4.6 V8 won't pull, sluggish, otherwise runs fine.

Yes, the "cam break in" sounds quite a scary procedure but, I would have thought V8 Developments would have bench tested it before handover.

    P38A 4.6 V8 won't pull, sluggish, otherwise runs fine.

Shouldn't a rebuilt engine be "run in" before, using full performance?

transplanting a V8 lock stock and barrel

And, the addition of catalytic converters was for emissions reasons, not to improve the the engine, Scotty Kilmer reckons engines run better without, if it came out the factory with em, they have to stay unless, you live in Tennessee.

transplanting a V8 lock stock and barrel

Why not a stage 2 4.6 with Weber or Edelbrock carb, of course you would need the front cover off a 3.5!

P38A Dashboard Clock - Right only twice a day.

Strange thing is, it seems they fitted whatever was available in the parts bin on the day, there is no definitive answer to which models (with walnut) had them and which didn't, I was thinking models (with walnut) that had the satnav option but, I'm probably wrong, I give up.

I'd be concerned how it got there in the first place, could you have filled up with contaminated fuel somewhere?

P38A Dashboard Clock - Right only twice a day.

The only thing I can think of is, the centre dash moulding is different on models that didn't have the option of satnav, the cubby fits in the opening that would hold the satnav unit from what I can see on the images of the centre dash section online.

P38A Dashboard Clock - Right only twice a day.

I just pulled mine out, no clips as such just, raised bits on the cubby where it fits the opening in dash but, I wouldn't say you could remove the whole clock via it, I just removed the cubby to change the bulb.

Is an engine replacement in a 4.6 P38 a complicated job?

I have used it on the Astra I had, had a leaking head gasket after over heating when a hose clip failed, it never overheated after replacing the clip but, was losing coolant via the exhaust, followed the instructions to the letter and, it cured it, still hadn't lost any coolant when I got rid a...
