The FL2 is much better overall than the FL1, but is is a lot bigger. I think it is better all round. Best keep what you have till you get yourself sorted out with new employment though.

Try raising the breathers for the rear diff, IRD, turbo breather and gearbox if you want to go through deeper water. I have driven mine through approx 750mm deep puddles & rivers before now. (Just under engine breather on my car)

Yep. Amazing. Quiet. Cheap to run. Charges up when it isn't being used so don't waste time finding garages to refuel. Amazing acceleration. Max torque from zero rpm. Comfortable. But, as you have guessed.... It ain't no 4wd. The Freelander is still for sale. Have a good time tomorrow.

I can't afford to run 2 vehicles. I have a Nissan Leaf as my daily run around which is much better than the Freelander around London and is very cheap to run. I have driven the Freelander maybe 2 miles in 3 months other than using it for our holiday.

Sorry, what I meant was it will drive along at very low speeds eg 1mph, but I will have the brake on to keep it that low. I known from my Range Rover classic days that it isn't the same etc etc. But for what it is it surprises everybody what it can do, and with the lift and larger tyres it...

I'm seriously impressed with my lifted Freelander Td4 auto. The only places I haven't taken it where the 'big' boys go, is really deep water as I don't have a snorkel. It can only cope with about 750mm in its current state. (Almost double standard vehicle though!) The auto lets you crawl along...

They are 'old' tyres. Replaced with General Grabber AT. They are okay. I have a set of 225/65R17 on my Td4. Well actually I've not put them back on yet as it still has its winter tyres on. Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme 215/70R16. I prefer these to the GGAT tyres. Quieter more fuel efficient...

I took it for its MOT today. Passed with no problems as it is. No advisories. Now has an MOT till near end of May 2016.

Sounds like injectors on way out. Mine sounded like pinking in a petrol engine. Two new injectors and all was fine.
